Spotless show7/3/2023 ![]() ![]() Each chapter addresses the stains, cleaning and household problems that may come about in each room of the house: the kitchen, laundry, bathroom, bedroom, children's room - even outdoors on a deck or a patio. ![]() My aunt and cousin had already booked the breakfast whereas my mum and I hadn't which wasn't a problem and we were able to just pay extra for this and i'm glad we did as I loved the brekkie! Roof terrace pool is also lovely if a bit on the small side but this is to be expected everywhere in Barcelona.Room-by-Room solutions to domestic disasters SPOtLESS is the essential book for the kitchen bookshelf. Metro station right outside which i'd strongly recommend using to get around the city, the hotel also offers a discount on the sight seeing bus tour which is well worth it. Staff were extremely helpful with good English and especially helpful in their advice on getting about & helping us to not get ripped off by cab drivers. Only gripe we had is that we only had one mirror (in the bathroom) which made it slightly awkward when going out but we got over it! Would've also been nice to have some natural light coming in but again for the amount of time we stayed in the room that wasn't a big deal. Rooms were small but fine for what we needed and spotlessly clean with comfy beds and plenty of wardrobe space. Stayed in a double room for 3 nights with my mum along with my aunt and cousin also in a double room on a seperate floor. However, as we were on the 8th floor we had a lovely view and noise from the street was dissipated so I'd definitely ask for a higher floor when booking! I'd definitely return! More Show less Only other niggle was we booked a double room and were given a twin which was annoying. Free wifi is great but if like me you're on an iPhone, you have to log back in every time it locks. Only minutes from Las Ramblas and there are lots of beautiful tapas bars in the back streets (Tonka, Bar Calders) which are lovely and off the tourist track! My only issues would be that I found reception staff to be a bit abrupt and not as polite as I would have hoped for a 4* hotel. Right next to the Paral.lel metro stop which is on 元, which seemed to be the best line for getting places. We couldn't complain! Location wise it's spot on. However, if you have kids or a big party it might be a bit cramped! Breakfast was lovely my boyfriend eats like a horse and was satisfied every day! Hot food, continental spread, yoghurts/fruit and sweet treats. It was especially lovely to cool down and chill after a day sightseeing. Every other day we managed to get deck chairs and found it much more chilled. However, it's small for a hotel of its size and on the Saturday we arrived it was absolutely packed with people pushing their towels up against other people's deckchairs and lying on the steps. The pool on the roof is lovely with great views and is great if you want to lounge about or read a book (or drink a mojito!) in the water. The room was spacious and spotless, with nice touches like the complimentary care package and free wifi. My boyfriend and I stayed in this hotel for a week beginning 20th July '13.
